About the role
At QLS, data is generated in warehouses worldwide — rough, fast-moving, and only useful if it can be trusted. As a member of the data team, you’ll help design and build the analytics engine that powers QLS, and take responsibility for modelling and transforming raw data from our in-house sources into clean, accurate, and reliable data products.
Building the data foundation is only half the job. A good analytics engineer doesn’t just move data from A to B — you learn what to measure, how to measure it correctly, and when a number is quietly telling the wrong story. You’re the person who brings trust to our data and increases its value for the company.
You’ll work closely with our UK-based Analytics Engineer, learning the craft hands-on while contributing to real, production-facing data models from day one.
What you’ll do
- Help design and build data models that turn raw operational data into clean, trustworthy data products
- Take ownership of transforming raw data from our in-house sources into datasets the business can rely on
- Grow into understanding not just how to move data, but what it should be telling us
What you bring
Required:
- An engineering background, with an innovative and problem-solving mindset
Nice to have:
- SQL modelling experience
- An interest in logistics, and enjoying working directly with business stakeholders
- Fluent in Dutch
