Operations Manager

At QLS, we make sure that thousands of webshops can deliver to their customers quickly and reliably every day. Behind this operation is a team that continuously plans ahead and improves. As Operations Manager, you ensure that we always have the right people, in the right place, at the right time.

You will be responsible for workforce and capacity planning within our fulfilment operations. You translate forecasts into practical plans, lead a team of supervisors, and ensure our operation is ready for further growth.

What will you do?

As Operations Manager, you combine strategic thinking with a hands-on approach. You know how to turn plans into an efficient and smoothly running operation.

Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching, and developing a team of supervisors.
• Managing and optimizing workforce planning across our fulfilment operations.
• Translating volume forecasts into concrete staffing and productivity plans.
• Further professionalizing our capacity planning and workforce management processes.
• Working closely with data analysts to translate forecasts into actionable operational plans.
• Preparing for peak periods, promotions, and new customer implementations.
• Monitoring performance and reporting results to management.
• Identifying improvement opportunities and implementing process optimizations based on Lean principles.
• Working closely with the Operations Manager Continuous Improvement to ensure capacity planning and process improvements support each other.

Who are you?

You are analytical, structured, and energized by leading people while improving processes. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly and where your impact is directly visible.

You bring:

• Experience in workforce planning, capacity planning, or operational planning within logistics, fulfilment, or a 3PL environment.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge. Experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
• Experience working with forecasts and data-driven decision-making.
• Knowledge of Lean methodologies such as 5S, Kaizen, or PDCA.
• Good command of the English language. Dutch is a plus.

It is a plus if you have experience with:

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher).
