Parcel Service Planner
My name is Ruben Zijlstra. In my role as a planner, I am responsible for efficiently scheduling routes, coordinating drivers, and ensuring that parcels are picked up on time and at the right location. Every day, I work closely with my colleagues from planning and various departments to make sure the logistics process runs smoothly. This includes coordinating with the warehouse, adjusting plans when delays occur, and solving unexpected situations on the road. What I enjoy most about my job is the dynamic nature of logistics. No two days are the same, and it’s very satisfying to get everything back on track—even when things don’t go as planned.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through sports: it’s a great way to clear my mind after a busy day. I also regularly go out for dinner with friends or visit festivals. Those are the moments where I can unwind and enjoy myself outside of the fun and fulfilling work at QLS.
