Medior/Senior Front-end Developer

Location: Dordrecht/Alblasserdam
Number of hours:

Join QLS as a Front-end Developer and help us conquer the European e-commerce logistics market with passion. This passion runs through everyone at QLS, where IT is the connecting force behind everything we do.

About QLS
QLS is a leading player in the e-commerce market in the Benelux. Driven by a passion for technology and growth, QLS manages the entire logistics process for e-commerce businesses. We offer smart logistics solutions including fulfillment, parcel delivery, and SaaS tools.
At QLS, innovation is powered by young, ambitious talent. Together, we push boundaries and drive our clients’ success.

Your Role
As a Medior/Senior Front-end Developer, you’ll be part of one of our in-house development teams, working alongside enthusiastic Developers, a Product Owner, and a UI/UX designer. Your team will focus on modernizing legacy applications and developing new tools from scratch. You’ll work on our platform daily, where:

  • You develop, test, and maintain front-end components and applications used by over 100,000 consumers and our warehouse staff;
  • You translate ideas for new features into technical possibilities;
  • You contribute to the (visual) future of our platform — with your input, users across Europe will benefit in the coming years;
  • You perform code reviews on merge requests from fellow developers;
  • You share new techniques with your colleagues to continuously improve and secure our platform.

Together with the lead developer, you’ll build domain knowledge around QLS’s processes and customer groups. Our IT team is deeply integrated with operations, meaning your code makes a real impact — and you’ll often see your work in action right on the warehouse floor.

You Bring

  • HBO-level education and thinking;
  • You live in the Netherlands and speak Dutch fluently (required);
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Front-end Developer;
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript, HTML, and CSS;
  • Experience with Vue.js or React (preferably both);
  • Familiarity with automated testing tools like Playwright or Cypress (a plus, not a must);
  • Basic understanding of Back-end development, preferably PHP (Laravel/Symfony);
  • A good sense of design and UX, and the ability to balance functionality and aesthetics;
  • Comfortable working with legacy JavaScript and jQuery code.

What We Offer

  • A fun and supportive developer team where your input is valued;
  • An open company culture full of driven people working with passion;
  • Regular team events (soccer matches, escape rooms, and more!) and weekly Friday drinks;
  • Freshly brewed coffee from a real bean machine at the office;
  • A modern workspace in one of our brand-new offices in Dordrecht or Alblasserdam, right next to the warehouse;
  • A MacBook and a high-quality workstation;
  • Travel allowance;
  • Budget for conferences and training;
  • Competitive salary based on your experience and skills.
